If you follow me on any sort of social media platform, you are probably well aware that I am an Express ambassador, or as many of you know it, an #ExpressU #ExpressPartner. I get so many questions about what exactly being an Express ambassador entails, how I got the job and if I like it, so I decided to break it all down in a blog post.
Being an Express ambassador means that I represent the Express brand throughout the Syracuse campus. I wear the apparel, host multiple events on campus throughout the year to show what the brand is about (along with two other Syracuse ambassadors), offer discount codes and make weekly posts to my own social media. Express generously gives me access to a great amount of apparel that way I can show off the great brand that Express is! The main responsibility of my job as an Express ambassador is to create brand awareness on the Syracuse University campus.
I always get asked how I got this gig, and people seem to be surprised when I tell them how. One day during the summer I received an Instagram DM from someone asking if I would be interested in becoming an Express ambassador because a lot of my Instagram content went along with the brand. The next day I had a phone interview, then participated in a creative assignment. Before I knew it, I was an Express ambassador for Syracuse!
I genuinely love being an Express ambassador. Not only to I get to wear a lot of Express clothes, I also get a lot of brand and marketing experience. I love being creative with my social media posts while also sticking to the Express brand. The events that we hold on campus help me come out of my shell and talk to people that I have never met in order to spread the word about Express.
I might as well get #ExpressU #ExpressPartner tattooed on my head at this point.
